SUMMARY |

This enactment amends the Official Languages Act in order that the
Government's policy commitments related to linguistic minority
community support and the recognition of English and French in
society will be changed to specific duties of the Government. The
enactment also provides a right to enforce those duties by application
to the Federal Court, Trial Division.
