SUMMARY |

This bill will allow any one to report an offence under the
Competition Act to the Commission anonymously, or refuse to take
action for an employer that constitutes an offence under this Act. An
employer who dismisses or disciplines an employee for doing any such
thing is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of up to $100,000 or two
years imprisonment or both.

In addition, a dismissed or disciplined employee may commence an
action for reinstatement, damages and punitive damages.
