(2) VUNTUT NATIONAL PARK |

|
All latitudes and longitudes hereinafter
described are referred to the N.A.D. 1927
datum; all topographic features hereinafter
referred to being according to Edition 1 of the
National Topographic Series Maps 117A/3,
117A/4, 117A/5, 117A/6, 117A/11, 117A/12,
117B/1, 117B/8 and 117B/9 produced at a
scale of 1:50,000 by the Department of
Energy, Mines and Resources at Ottawa, and
a part of the Canada-United States
International Boundary Atlas.

In the Yukon Territory;
|
|
|
That parcel of land more particularly
described as follows:
|
|
|
Commencing near monument number 26 of
the Canada-United States International
Boundary, at the point of intersection of the
said boundary with the line of watershed
separating the streams flowing into the
Porcupine River system from those flowing
into the Beaufort Sea, at approximate
latitude 68o33'25'';
|
|
|
Thence generally easterly following the said
line of watershed to the northeasterly
production of the right bank of an unnamed
tributary of Black Fox Creek at approximate
latitude 68o29'52'' and approximate
longitude 138o22'31'';
|
|
|
Thence southwesterly along the said
northeasterly production, and generally
southwesterly along the right bank of the said
tributary to the right bank of Black Fox Creek;
|
|
|
Thence generally southwesterly along the
right bank of Black Fox Creek to the left bank
of the Old Crow River;
|
|
|
Thence generally northwesterly,
southwesterly and northwesterly along the left
bank of the Old Crow River to the said
International Boundary;
|
|
|
Thence north along the said International
Boundary to the point of commencement;
|
|
|
Said parcel containing about 4 345 square
kilometres.
|

|
(3) KLUANE NATIONAL PARK |
|
|
In the Yukon Territory;
|
|
|
Such portion of the lands set aside as a reserve
for a national park, pursuant to section 11 of
An Act to amend the National Parks Act,
chapter 11 of the Statutes of Canada, 1974, as
is identified as lands for a national park in the
Champagne and Aishihik First Nations Final
Agreement, given effect by the Yukon First
Nations Land Claims Settlement Act;
|
|
|
And such other portions of the said reserve as
are identified as lands for a national park in
final agreements with other first nations that
are given effect under the said Act.

20. (1) Subsection 19(1) of the Yukon Act
is replaced by the following:
|
|
Game
ordinances in
respect of
Indians and
Inuit
|
19. (1) Notwithstanding section 18, the
Commissioner in Council may make
ordinances for the government of the
Territory, in relation to the preservation of
game in the Territory, that are applicable to
and in respect of Indians and Inuit.
|
|
|
(2) Subsection 19(3) of the Act is
repealed.
|
|
|
(3) Section 19 of the Act is amended by
adding the following after subsection (3):
|
|
Application of
subsection (3)
|
(4) After a first nation's final agreement,
within the meaning of the Yukon First Nations
Land Claims Settlement Act, is given effect by
or under that Act, subsection (3) does not
apply in respect of
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(4) Subsection 19(4) of the Act, as enacted
by subsection (3), is repealed.

COMING INTO FORCE |
|
Coming into
force
|
21. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act
comes into force on a day to be fixed by
order of the Governor in Council.
|
|

(2) Subsections 20(1), (2) and (4) come
into force on the first day on which the final
agreements of all first nations have been
given effect.
