An Act respecting Canada-Russia Friendship Day
Whereas Canada and Russia have enjoyed ongoing diplomatic relations since June 12, 1942;
And whereas it is expedient to celebrate the friendship that unites these two great nations;
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
SHORT TITLE
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Canada-Russia Friendship Day Act.
CANADA-RUSSIA FRIENDSHIP DAY
Canada-Russia Friendship Day
2. Throughout Canada, in each and every year, the twelfth day of June shall be known as “Canada-Russia Friendship Day”.
