SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Criminal Code to prohibit a person from communicating with anyone for the purpose of procuring, attempting to procure or soliciting another person to commit a sexual offence, whether in or out of Canada.

An Act to amend the Criminal Code (protection from sexual interference)
R.S., c. C-46
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1. (1) Subsection 212(1) of the Criminal Code is amended by adding the following after paragraph (a):
(a.1) communicates with anyone for the purpose of procuring, attempting to procure or soliciting another person to commit a sexual offence whether in or out of Canada,
(2) Section 212 of the Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1):
Meaning of “communicates”
(1.1) For the purposes of subsection (1), “communicates” means transmit, distribute, advertise or otherwise make available by any means.
