SUMMARY
This enactment requires the Minister of Health to consult with the ministers responsible for health in each province and with charities involved in funding cancer research in order to develop a plan for a national cancer strategy.
After this consultation the Minister is required to present a proposal to Parliament for the establishment of a national cancer strategy. After the proposal has been debated in both Houses, the Minister is required to introduce legislation to establish the strategy and an advisory committee.
