The Standing Joint Committee on Official Languages met in camera at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Co-Chairs, The Hon. Shirley Maheu and Mauril Bélanger presiding.
Members of the Committee present:
From the Senate: The Hon. Jean-Robert Gauthier, The Hon. Laurier L. LaPierre, The Hon. Viola Léger , The Hon. Raymond C. Setlakwe and The Hon. Roch Bolduc.
From the House of Commons: Mauril Bélanger, Eugène Bellemare, Gérard Binet, Yvon Godin, Benoît Sauvageau, Yolande Thibeault.
In attendance: From the Senate: The Hon. Viola Léger, Senator, Tonu Onu, Co-Clerk of the Committee, From the House of Commons: Jean-François Pagé, Co-Clerk of the Committee, From the Library of Parliament: Robert Asselin, research officer.
It is moved, - That the Committee continue its study on the bilingual services offered by Air Canada.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
It is moved, - That the Committee officially invite Mr. Robert Milton, President of Air Canada, to appear before the Committee before the adjournment of Parliament in December 2001.

At 3:45p.m., the Committee continued its proceedings in public.

At 3:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
