SUMMARY |

This enactment prohibits the sale, advertisement and importation of
consumer products that contain a certain level of lead or cadmium
unless they are excluded by regulation. It also bans the sale,
advertisement and importation of toys that are or are likely to be used
by children who are under the age of three years if any phthalate (ester
of 1, 2-benzenedicarboxylic acid) has been added to the toys during
their production.
