Participation of the Honourable Greg Fergus, P.C., M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons, to the 60th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Canadian Regional Conference, Toronto, Ontario
From July 23 to 24, 2024, the Honourable Greg Fergus, P.C., M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons, participated in the 60th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Canadian Regional Conference, in Toronto, Ontario.
The Conference was attended by members of federal, provincial, and territorial legislatures, as well as the Acting CPA Chairperson and Speaker of the Barbados House of Assembly, the Honourable Arthur Holder, MHA, and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Victoria in Australia, the Honourable Maree Edwards, MLA.
Participants were welcomed to the Regional Conference by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, the Honourable Ted Arnott, MPP. Delegates attended panel sessions on a range of topics including artificial intelligence, inclusive workplace culture, and the media and democracy.
