INTERIM PROVISION

Provision of list of electors to registered parties

93.1 Within thirty days after the day on which the notice mentioned in section 71.003 of the Canada Elections Act, as enacted by subsection 21(1) of this Act, is published in the Canada Gazette, the Chief Electoral Officer shall, on request by a registered party, provide the registered party with an electronic copy of the list of electors.

COMING INTO FORCE

Coming into force: general

94. (1) Notwithstanding subsection 331(1) of the Canada Elections Act, sections 6 to 10 and 12 to 19, subsection 21(1) and sections 22 and 52 of this Act come into force on April 1, 1997 unless, before that date, the Chief Electoral Officer has published in the Canada Gazette a notice that necessary preparations for the implementation of any of those provisions have been made and that it may come into force accordingly.

Coming into force: certain provisions

(2) Subject to subsections (1) and (3), this Act comes into force on the day on which the Chief Electoral Officer publishes in the Canada Gazette the notice mentioned in section 71.003 of the Canada Elections Act, as enacted by subsection 21(1) of this Act.

Coming into force: s. 20 and s. 21(2)

(3) Section 20 and subsection 21(2) of this Act come into force on a day or days to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.
