Report

From 14 to 17 August 2022, Senator Percy Downe represented the Canadian Section of the Canada–United States Inter-Parliamentary Group at the Council of State Governments East’s 61^st Annual Meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire. The theme of the meeting was “States in Transition,” and the sessions included such topics as equitable governance, education gaps due to the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and its impact on agriculture, offshore wind production, rural broadband and bilateral relations between Canada and the United States, including border issues.
