1.    Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the meeting of May 30, 2018 were approved.

2.   Annual Report

It was agreed that the report be adopted; that the Clerk be authorized to make any editorial, grammatical and translation changes, if required; and that the report be presented to the Senate Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration and the House of Commons Board of Internal Economy at the earliest opportunity.

3.   Financial update

The Clerk provided an update of the financial status for fiscal year 2017-2018 and for the current fiscal year.

4.   Security Assessment

Ms. Ratansi, MP The Hon. Salma Ataullahjan and Ms. Yasmin Ratansi made a presentation on the recent mission to Pakistan of the Canadian Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and their experience with the Security Assessment Process and answered questions.

5.   Code of conduct

The clerk presented the draft Code of Conduct. It was agreed that the Council continue its review at its next meeting.
