Association Co-Chair, the Honourable Mauril Bélanger, P.C., M.P., will visit
Algeria and Tunisia from February 15 to 20. Mr. Bélanger will be accompanied by

The delegates will engage their counterparts on various
topics to further strengthen our bilateral relations and to encourage mutual
understanding on bilateral issues. The visit also offers an excellent
opportunity to enquire about continental issues. In addition, the delegation
will study Algeria and Tunisia’s role within regional organizations.
Canadian activity in the region will also be studied, along with the role of
civil society groups and businesses.
Established in 2003, the Canada-Africa Parliamentary
Association promotes exchanges between African and Canadian parliamentarians,
proposes initiatives likely to lead to better mutual understanding of national
and international problems, and works to develop cooperation in all the fields
of human activity.
