SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Telecommunications Act to require the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to designate a three-digit phone number dedicated to suicide-prevention services.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

Telecommunications Act
1 The Telecommunications Act is amended by adding the following after section 46.1:
Three-digit number
Start of inserted block46.11 The Commission shall designate, within one year after the day on which this section comes into force, a three-digit number dedicated to suicide-prevention services.
