SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights by adding a right relating to the posting, by the offender, of information about the victim.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Véronique Barbe Act.

Canadian Victims Bill of Rights
2 The Canadian Victims Bill of Rights is amended by adding the following after section 11:
Posting of information about the victim
Start of inserted block11.1 Every victim has the right to have reasonable and necessary measures taken by the appropriate authorities in the criminal justice system to prohibit the offender from posting any information about the victim on the Internet.
