SOMMAIRE
Le texte prévoit la prestation d’une aide financière aux Canadiens qui ont un handicap afin d’améliorer leur accès aux études postsecondaires.
SUMMARY
This enactment provides for financial assistance for Canadians with disabilities to improve their access to post-secondary education.

Préambule
Attendu :
qu’il est estimé que les activités quotidiennes d’un Canadien sur cinq âgé d’au moins quinze ans sont limitées par une ou plusieurs incapacités;
que l’Enquête canadienne sur l’incapacité de 2017 a révélé que le risque de ne pas fréquenter l’école ou de ne pas avoir d’emploi est plus élevé chez les jeunes ayant une incapacité et que cette tendance augmente selon la sévérité de l’incapacité;
que le Parlement reconnaît l’importance de faire en sorte que tous les Canadiens handicapés aient la possibilité de faire des études postsecondaires,
Preamble
Whereas an estimated one in five Canadians aged 15 years and over has one or more disabilities that limit them in their daily activities;
Whereas the 2017 Canadian Survey on Disability stated that youth with disabilities are at a higher risk of not being in school or employed, and this risk increases with the severity of the disability;
And whereas Parliament recognizes the importance of ensuring that all Canadians with disabilities have access to post-secondary education;

9.3 (1) Sous réserve des conditions réglementaires, le ministre verse les droits de scolarité de tout particulier inscrit dans un établissement agréé qui a droit au crédit prévu à l’article 118.3 de la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu à l’établissement agréé auquel le particulier est inscrit.
End of inserted block9.3 (1) Subject to any prescribed conditions, if an individual in respect of whom an amount may be deducted under section 118.3 of the Income Tax Act is enrolled in a designated educational institution, the Minister shall pay that individual’s tuition fees to that designated educational institution.
