SUMMARY
Le texte modifie la Loi sur la participation publique au capital d’Air Canada afin d’indiquer que les clauses de prorogation d’Air Canada devront imposer à celle-ci d’exercer des activités d’entretien d’aéronefs en Ontario, au Québec et au Manitoba et de prévoir d’autres mesures relatives à cette obligation.
This enactment amends the Air Canada Public Participation Act to provide that Air Canada’s articles of continuance contain a requirement that it carry out aircraft maintenance activities in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba and to provide for certain other measures related to that obligation.

1 (1) L’alinéa 6(1)d) de la Loi sur la participation publique au capital d’Air Canada est remplacé par ce qui suit :
1 (1) Paragraph 6(1)(d) of the Air Canada Public Participation Act is replaced by the following:
-
d) des dispositions l’obligeant à exercer ou à faire exercer des activités d’entretien d’aéronefs, notamment toute forme d’entretien relatif aux cellules, aux moteurs, aux éléments constitutifs, à l’équipement ou aux pièces, en Ontario, au Québec et au Manitoba;

(d) provisions requiring the Corporation to carry out or cause to be carried out aircraft maintenance activities, including maintenance of any type relating to airframes, engines, components, equipment or parts, in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba; and

2 (1) Malgré les articles 173 à 176 de la Loi canadienne sur les sociétés par actions, les administrateurs de la Société peuvent modifier les statuts de celle-ci conformément aux modifications prévues dans la présente loi.
2 (1) Despite sections 173 to 176 of the Canada Business Corporations Act, the Corporation’s directors may amend its articles in accordance with the amendments set out in this Act.
