SUMMARY
This enactment designates the second Sunday of September in each and every year as “Grandparents Day”.

An Act respecting Grandparents Day
Whereas grandparents play an important, nurturing role in family life and are a valuable link between generations;
And whereas grandparents should be honoured and appreciated for their guidance and wisdom;
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
SHORT TITLE
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Grandparents Day Act.
GRANDPARENTS DAY
Grandparents Day
2. Throughout Canada, in each and every year, the second Sunday of September shall be known as “Grandparents Day”.
Not a legal holiday
3. For greater certainty, Grandparents Day is not a legal holiday or a non-juridical day.
