	*1. The Criminal Code* is amended by adding the following after section 207:**
Casino on board an international cruise ship	207.1 (1) Notwithstanding any of the provisions of this Part relating to gaming and betting, it is lawful
	(a) for a person to conduct and manage a casino on board an international cruise ship sailing in Canadian waters for the passengers of the ship where
	(i) the voyage made by the ship does not constitute a coasting trade within the meaning of subsection 2(1) of the Coasting Trade Act, and
	(ii) the casino is not accessible to the passengers of the ship
	(A) during the hour preceding the arrival of the ship at a Canadian port,
	(B) when the ship is in a Canadian port, or
	(C) during the hour after the ship departs from a Canadian port; and
	(b) for a passenger of a ship referred to in paragraph (a) to enter the casino referred to in paragraph (a) and to engage in gaming and betting.
Definitions	(2) In this section,
``Canadian waters'' « eaux canadien- nes »	``Canadian waters'' means the internal waters within the meaning of the Customs Act and the territorial sea of Canada, as determined in accordance with the Territorial Sea and Fishing Zones Act;
``casino'' « casino »	``casino'' means a casino prescribed by regulation of the Attorney General of Canada under subsection (3);
``internatio- nal cruise ship'' « navire de croisière internationale »	``international cruise ship'' means an international cruise ship prescribed by regulation of the Attorney General of Canada under subsection (3).
Regulations	(3) Not later than six months after this section comes into force, the Attorney General of Canada shall make regulations defining ``casino'' and ``international cruise ship'' for the purposes of this section.
