An Act to prevent the importation of
radioactive waste into Canada
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Short title
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Radioactive
Waste Importation Act.
|
|
| Definitions
|
2. In this Act,
|
|
| ``Board'' « Commission »
|
``Board'' means the Atomic Energy Control
Board established pursuant to section 3 of
the Atomic Energy Control Act;
|
|
| ``radioactive
waste'' « déchets radioactifs »
|
``radioactive waste'' means material that falls
within the definition prescribed for
radioactive waste by the Board.
|
|
| No import of
radioactive
waste
|
3. No person shall import radioactive waste
into Canada.
|
|
| Her Majesty
bound
|
4. Her Majesty in right of Canada or a
province is bound by this Act.
|
