Official Opening of the 49th Plenary Session of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie

Montreal (Quebec) – The Honourable Raymonde Gagné, Speaker of the Senate, the Honourable Greg Fergus, Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages, and Francis Drouin, President of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF) and Chair of the Canadian Branch of the APF, will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the plenary session of the 49th Annual Session of the APF.

Her Excellency Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of La Francophonie, will also attend the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth, 900 René-Lévesque Boulevard West, Montreal.

Formal opening ceremony Presided by Mr. Drouin with remarks from Speaker Gagné, Speaker Fergus and Minister Boissonnault.
