The Subcommittee on the Review of Parliament’s involvement with Associations and Recognized Interparliamentary Groups of the Joint Interparliamentary Council met this day in camera at 9:05 a.m., in a virtual format, the Hon. Dennis Dawson, Senator, presiding.

1. Adoption of minutes:
It was agreed – That the minutes of the meeting of April 20, 2022, be adopted
2. Roundtable discussion:
The Subcommittee met with representatives of the multilateral associations to discuss the themes of representation and association constitutions.
3. Roundtable discussion:
The Subcommittee met with representatives of the bilateral associations to discuss the themes of representation and association constitutions.
4. Subcommittee business:
The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.
It was agreed – That the next meeting be scheduled for June 27, 2022, and that Whips, Liaisons and parliamentarians who are active in gender networks of multilateral associations be invited to appear.
At 10:59 a.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Co-Chairs.
