SUMMARY |

The purpose of this enactment is to impose two conditions on the
appointment of a judge to the Supreme Court of Canada: the prior
communication of the person's name to the House of Commons, and the
adoption of a resolution by that House on the recommendation of the
committee of the House that considers matters relating to justice.
