This enactment amends the Canadian Wheat Board Act to allow
voluntary participation in the Canadian Wheat Board's marketing
system.
|
|
|
|
Several other provisions of that Act are also amended to modernize
western Canada's grain handling and transportation system and to
improve the accountability of all participants in that system.
|
|
|
|
The enactment also provides for a regular review of the operations
of the Corporation by the Auditor General and the House of Commons.
|
|
|
|
Lastly, the enactment amends the Access to Information Act to add
the name ``Canadian Wheat Board'' to Schedule I to that Act.
