SUMMARY |
|
|
This enactment provides for electronic voting by telephone as an
alternate to casting a vote by personal attendance at a polling station.
Those wishing to vote electronically must be on the revised list of
electors. A person who has applied to vote electronically may then only
vote that way and may not vote by casting a ballot at a polling station.
Access to telephone service is the responsibility of the elector and the
enactment does not create an obligation to provide such service.

The system may be declared applicable by the Governor in Council
once the Chief Electoral Officer has certified that it is in place and ready
to operate.
