Her Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of
Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances,
in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled ``An Act
to establish the Canadian Tourism Commission''.

|
|
|
|
|
|
This enactment establishes a Crown corporation to be known as the
Canadian Tourism Commission. The Commission's objects are to
|
|
|
|
(a) sustain a vibrant and profitable Canadian tourism industry;
|
|
|
|
(b) market Canada as a desirable tourist destination;
|
|
|
|
(c) support a cooperative relationship between the private sector and
the governments of Canada, the provinces and the territories with
respect to Canadian tourism; and
|
|
|
|
(d) provide information about Canadian tourism to the private sector
and to the governments of Canada, the provinces and the territories.
