SUMMARY |

This enactment relates to the implementation of Canada's obliga
tions under the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling,
Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their
Destruction, which binds the signing parties to ban anti-personnel
mines, to cooperate in a number of ways so as to facilitate the
implementation of the Convention, and to ensure that persons refrain
from engaging in activities prohibited under the Convention.
