1. Paragraph (e) of the definition
``employee'' in subsection 2(1) of the Public
Service Staff Relations Act is repealed.

2. Part I of Schedule I to the Act is
amended by striking out the following:

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
3. Part I of Schedule I to the Act is
amended by adding the following in
alphabetical order:

|
|
|
Civilian employees appointed or employed in
accordance with section 10 of the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police Act
|
|
|
|
|
|

4. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Act is amended by adding the following
after section 47.5:
|
|
| Non-applica- tion of certain Acts
|
47.6 (1) For greater certainty, the Canada
Labour Code does not apply to members, and
members are not part of the Public Service
within the meaning of the Public Service Staff
Relations Act, nor part of the public service
within the meaning of section 11 of the
Financial Administration Act.
|
|
| Non-applica- tion of para. 7(1)(e) of Financial Administratio n Act
|
(2) Members are not part of the public
service of Canada for the purposes of
paragraph 7(1)(e) of the Financial
Administration Act.
