SUMMARY |

This enactment establishes the Department of Citizenship and
Immigration with a presiding minister to be appointed by Commission
under the Great Seal of Canada with the powers, duties and functions
as therein set out, and a Deputy Minister to be appointed by the
Governor in Council, with provision for employees.
