RECOMMENDATION
His Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances, in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled “An Act to provide for the establishment and operation of a program to enable certain persons to receive protection in relation to certain inquiries, investigations or prosecutions”.
SUMMARY
This enactment provides for a program to be operated under the Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for the protection of witnesses and informants as well as related or associated persons who may be at risk because of their involvement in certain law enforcement matters.
RECOMMANDATION
Son Excellence le Gouverneur général recommande à la Chambre des communes l’affectation de deniers publics dans les circonstances, de la manière et aux fins prévues dans une mesure intitulée « Loi instaurant un programme de protection pour certaines personnes dans le cadre de certaines enquêtes ou poursuites ».
SOMMAIRE
Le texte instaure un programme, administré par le commissaire de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, pour assurer la protection de témoins, informateurs et personnes liées à ceux-ci qui encourent un danger en raison de leur participation à certaines activités visant l’application de la loi.
